Our Kids Social are back at Brockholes to celebrate the end of term in style!
Bring your tribe along to join us as we go back to the island for a super Sunday afternoon packed to the brim with family fun.
Our last event at Brockholes was a total sell out and we cannot wait to welcome you back to our OKS community in such stunning surroundings. What’s not to love about dancing to your favourite tunes under bright blue skies and next to beautiful blue waters with scenic views at every turn? We guarantee this event will put a smile on faces of all ages and we can’t wait to meet you all.
This OKS afternoon session has all the usual family fabulousness and we invite you to take advantage of everything else that Brockholes Nature Reserve has to offer.
With dancefloor themed arts and crafts, fancy dress up and family photo frame, dancefloor props and bubbles, festival face painting and of course our infamous two channel silent disco – this is the only way to celebrate the start of the summer holidays.
Will it be kids’ pop or adults’ guilty pleasures that get your vote? Candi Staton vs Trolls, Little Mix vs Rozalla – YOU decide! We want moonwalking Mums, dabbing Dads and gangnaming Grans back on the beautiful floating island and showing the kids how it’s done.
We will of course have our challenge bag with some dancefloor tasks for our families to undertake – how low can you go with our limbo stick? Do you know all the moves to Superman? Can you hi-5 everyone on the island? We can’t wait to find out!
Don’t forget that parking is for the day – why not come in the morning, make use of the adventure playground, bring a picnic or eat at the delicious cafe – the choice is yours.
Recommended age 4-104 although younger siblings are welcome. Babes in arms go free – everyone else needs a ticket.
There will be indoors space in the beautiful Meadow Suite in the unfortunate case of rain. There is ample room for buggy storage and the cafe will be open for food and drinks.
At each venue, though secure, different rooms may be in use for different activities. It is the responsibility of parents to stay with their children at all times.
Staff on site at the social will hold DBS and Children's Safeguarding qualifications. We would ask that any concerns you have are raised with a member of the team immediately.
Adults will not be allowed to come to the social unless accompanied by children!
There will be qualified first aiders on site at all times.
All venues are fully licensed and will have the bar open for the duration of the social.
Parking will vary from venue to venue but may be limited. Please make use of street parking but do so responsibly and please be mindful of our neighbours.
There will be very limited space for buggy and pram storage. We advise bringing a baby carrier or sling for pre-walkers.
There will be on-site facilities at all socials.
We are on the look out for venues across Manchester with a capacity of 200 minimum. Please let us know if you can think of somewhere suitable for a social!
