January 27th – Family Silent Disco at The Refuge – come as you are and bring your dancing shoes!
Blast away the January blues and join us for a boogie with your nippers in The Basement at The Refuge.
Jan may be dark and gloomy but a silent disco in The Basement at this fantastic building is bound to put a bit of sparkle back in your life!
With two channels of music to choose from – you decide what to listen to. Will it be kids’ pop or adults’ guilty pleasures – the choice is down to you as our headsets let you decide.
Think Rozalla vs Little Mix, Candi Staton vs Katy Perry and One Direction vs Stone Rose plus we have our dancefloor challenges to keep you on your toes, our fancy dress up box and photo frame, dancefloor twirlers and Pom Poms – and guaranteed FUN!
Bring your family to our community this January and make an afternoon of it at the beautiful surroundings of The Refuge – grab a drink at the bar, book to stay for lunch or dinner and have a boogie with us in the basement!
Silent disco is in The Basement 2-3. The bar down there won’t be open so please buy any drinks from the main ground floor bar before you head down.
The event is Age 4+ there really is no space for buggies. If you have a baby sibling, please do bring a sling or carrier.
If you want to get one of the fantastic Refuge roasts, please book a table in advance – give them a ring to secure your booking.
Paper tickets or on your phone is absolutely fine – you will need to show them at the bottom of the stairs as you head into The Basement.

Recommended age 4+ and all kids and adults need tickets (£3 each)
At each venue, though secure, different rooms may be in use for different activities. It is the responsibility of parents to stay with their children at all times.
Staff on site at the social will hold DBS and Children's Safeguarding qualifications. We would ask that any concerns you have are raised with a member of the team immediately.
Adults will not be allowed to come to the social unless accompanied by children!
There will be qualified first aiders on site at all times.
All venues are fully licensed and will have the bar open for the duration of the social.
Parking will vary from venue to venue but may be limited. Please make use of street parking but do so responsibly and please be mindful of our neighbours.
There will be very limited space for buggy and pram storage. We advise bringing a baby carrier or sling for pre-walkers.
There will be on-site facilities at all socials.
We are on the look out for venues across Manchester with a capacity of 200 minimum. Please let us know if you can think of somewhere suitable for a social!
