Following on from epic events in previous years at Islington Mill and The Wonder Inn, we have lined up another iconic venue in our beloved city as we take over The Manchester Monastery.
With so much on, this will of course be an afternoon of festival delights where we guarantee family creativity and fun with the best beats around. This is the only way to say good bye to the Summer and welcome the start of the early nights.
We are so excited to announce that Take Me To Church will appropriately be on the decks in the magnificent nave. Throw your hands up and let loose your best moves amid the beautiful stained glass, breathtaking architecture and fantastic acoustics. We couldn’t think of a more stunning venue to get our groove on.
Our two channel silent disco will also be on hand with all the kids’ favourite pop or maybe you fancy some Britpop? That’s right – we have swapped our guilty pleasure for a channel devoted to Britpop so all you Beautiful Ones can turn on, tune in and rock out.
As always, alongside the best tunes, we have a variety of activities and sessions for our OKS families to take part in. We are super pleased to be welcoming the one and only Professor Jiggets – The Prof, back into the OKS community. He will be bringing his weird and wonderful stories for your delight and we can guarantee that these sessions are not to be missed.
Our newest community members are the fantastic Conker Crew who will be leading outdoors forest school activities. We love attending Conker Crew at Longford Park and we are so excited that Chantel will be joining us in September. Forest school sessions will go ahead whatever the weather so please dress appropriately and maybe bring a change of clothes for the kids.
We will have our OKS arts and crafts station, our huge colouring murals, resident face painters and not forgetting the calming sensory area for our youngest community members. Oops a Daisy circus skills will also be hosting their workshop on the dancefloor.
We are also introducing a mini market place showcasing a selection of Manchester’s finest children’s brands. Don’t forget to bring a bit of extra cash in case you are tempted to buy! Plus the on-site cafe will be open for you to purchase drinks and snacks, with an additional fully licensed bar.
All activities are included in the price apart from facepainting (£2 per face)

All venues are fully licensed and will have the bar open for the duration of the social.
