OKS is super excited to bring our legendary silent disco to the iconic Gorton Monastery as we collaborate and join forces in Remembering Belle Vue.
We will be there with all our usual kit - props and fancy dress, photo frame and challenges, interactive dances and games - and of course our fantastic headsets with choice of two channels - kids' pop and adults' guilty pleasures! They can bop to Gangnam while you throw your hands up in the air to Candi Staton. Dare you take on the OKS bag of chance? We bet you do!
Something for everyone - family fun guaranteed - join us for a knees up with your nippers!
Our sessions our aimed at children aged 4+ due to the size of our headsets, although younger children are welcome. OKS silent discos offer the whole family the chance to dance, laugh and make memories together.
Who will win the dance off? How low can you go? Are you a secret air guitar king? Come show us - we can't wait for you to join our community.
Everyone attending this event will will need a ticket which are £4 each. Babes in arms are free but please bring a sling or carrier as there are no buggies on the dance-floor.
Gorton Monastery will be hosting two days of talks on the 18th and 19th of March. Memorabilia, heritage stalls, musical performances and a variety of activities for all the family, including circus skills and a pop-up photo booth. Join us at the Monastery to learn or reminisce about the wonders of Belle Vue, which was once one of the most successful and popular entertainment destinations in the UK.
